The 2024 International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems Forum (2024 CPGNSS) was held from July 25 to 27 2024, at the International Conference Center of China University of Geosciences (Beijing), China. The forum was jointly organized by the China University of Geosciences (Beijing), the Key Laboratory of Urban Natural Resource Survey, Monitoring, and Protection of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Shanxi Key Laboratory of Geological Disaster Monitoring, Early Warning, and Prevention. The CPGNSS Forum is one of the most influential conferences in the area of satellite navigation and positioning. The theme of the 2024 GPGNSS is “Innovative PNT Technologies Empowering New Quality Productivity”, which includes sessions of Reference Frame, GNSS Processing Technologies, Intelligent Navigation and Precision Time Service etc. The forum attracted more than 400 experts, scholars, and students from over 80 universities, research institutions, and companies around the world, with more than 150 oral presentations and 41 invited lectures and 12 Best Paper Awards. Prof. Sun Heping (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), Prof. Li Qingquan (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), Prof. Tong Xiaohua (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), and Prof. Gao Yang (Academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering) gave keynote reports at this forum. The CPGNSS, established in 2001, is a non-profit international academic organization. Its mission is to create an academic platform for Chinese professionals in the field of navigation and positioning, to foster international communication and cooperation in the advancement of navigation and positioning technologies. The CPGNSS brings together distinguished Chinese scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, and decision-makers, who are highly active in the academic and industry sectors and influential internationally in the navigation and positioning communities. Currently, the CPGNSS is chaired by Prof. Zhao Qile (Wuhan University), Prof. Chen Junping (Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Prof. Xu Tianhe (Shandong University (Weihai)). |
